7/26/2023 0 Comments Divine divinity catacombsIt's very violent but still humorous and gives you lots of different moral choices. Even on easy it is very hard though if you did like me now and just rushed for completion without getting to know everything. This game is full of awesome humour awesome spells weapons customizations and whatnot. This game always keeps you on your toes because one wrong move and you could be killed by an overpowered opponent, one wrong choice and the quest fails etc. It starts you of in a village out of nowhere and then you go from there. Ofc it wasn't that mindblowing now because I had almost completed it many times before but I have to say this game is really amazing. Now out of nowhere I decided to play it sitting hours on end on my vacation. I never completed it though I was near the end once but lost my save and gave up. If you like Diablo style games, you can't go wrong here.Ĥ0h Played Nostalgia game for me I played it the first time when I was twelve. High resolutions can be hard to read, so I ran it in 720p which seemed to be perfect. The game has that draw factor where you want to keep coming back to play. That may sound like a lot of downsides, but you can get over them fairly easily. The story slows down a bit when you're stuck in Stormfist Castle and some of those massive dungeons I mentioned before can be a slog at times also. The game also is very random with the types of weapons that are dropped. ![]() Getting supposedly legendary armor that has a much lower armor value than your current gear can be a letdown. I wasn't a huge fan of the randomly generated stats on items either. The weapons also don't let you know if they're one-handed or two-handed until you equip them. Good idea in theory, but not in practice really. You'll need a calculator handy to figure out the difference. They use a bartering system and the merchants often don't have a lot of gold on them. ![]() Things can get cluttered real easily and selling items to the merchants is a chore. The first and most glaringly obvious is the inventory system which is just a mess. I'd say there are some negatives that I need to mention though. The early game can be challenging and it stays challenging up until you get into the upper 30's for your level. You'll get a load of play time out of this one with some pretty massive dungeons to explore and several side quests for you to solve. The story itself is decent and has some pretty humorous aspects at times, but this game is really more about the gameplay. It does use the spacebar to pause the game though, which is a most welcome addition. Other places said it was like Baldur's Gate, but I don't see that at all. Even today you can still jump right in and have a good time. For starters, I feel that it actually has aged well for the most part. ![]() Please read the full Community Rules.57h 37m PlayedLooking at comments leading up to this game, I was wondering how good this game would be.
